Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years CT Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a skilled CT Technologist with expertise in imaging and patient care. The role is based in Rochester, NY, and offers a contract position with a reputable healthcare provider.
Responsibilities:
- Verify patient identity and exam details before initiating CT scans, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging.
- Prepare patients for scans and clearly explain procedures to ensure their comfort.
- Administer IVs when required for specific tests.
- Position patients safely, including those with limited mobility, using proper patient handling techniques.
- Accurately document all aspects of the imaging process in the electronic health record system to ensure images are correctly stored and accessible.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the scanning environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- New York State licensure (must be obtained prior to starting the role).
- Minimum of two years of professional CT technologist experience.
- Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
- Injection certification is preferred; candidates must be willing to complete this during orientation if not already certified.
- Familiarity with Philips and Siemens CT equipment is advantageous.
