Job DescriptionRN - Cardiothoracic ICU | 13 Weeks Contract
- Location: Rochester,NY 14621
- Shift: 12hr Nights
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Payrate: $1872 $2088
Responsibilities:
- Provide care to post-op heart surgery and heart failure patients.
- Monitor and manage LVAD, ECMO, Impella, IABP, CRRT, and other critical devices.
- Assist with central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, and ventilator care.
- Respond to emergencies using defibrillators, rapid infusers, and blood transfusions.
- Document care in EPIC EMR and communicate with the care team.
- Educate patients and families on treatments and recovery.
- Float to similar ICU units as needed.
- Work every other weekend and holiday.
Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of CTICU experience (required).

Certifications (AHA Only):
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NIHSS (Stroke Scale)
- VAD education/certification
- CCRN (preferred)
Skills Required:
- Experience with LVAD, ECMO, Impella, CRRT, IABP, intubation, ABGs, and chest tubes.
- Able to manage central lines, art lines, G/PEG tubes, and use restraints.
Travel & Local Considerations:
- Candidates outside a 75-miles radius qualify for travel pay.
