Job Description

Job DescriptionThe Service Advisor actively participates in achieving the objectives of the branch. They handle most of the administrative matters, welcomes and informs customers, and is assisting the Service Manager in the day-to-day management of the branch.
This position is on-site at our Bronx Branch location.

ADMINISTRATION:

· Physical and telephone reception of customers, suppliers and drivers

· Transfer of incoming calls/emails to the right person or department

· Manage mail received/to be posted at the branch

· Order office supplies and maintain sufficient inventories

· Manage waste & scrap collection, with the help of the Mendon Parts Department

· Manage archive and storage of documents

· Manage stationary orders

· Branch maintenance and cleaning


FLEET:

· Conduct daily yard checks and record the correct position of the vehicles in Igloo,

give a report to the service Manager and Branch Manager

· Visually review vehicles to ensure all compliance stickers and graphics are in place

and up to date, and send the request if any are needed

· Update and upload permits and emission dates in Igloo

· Coordinate with customers for the scheduling of inspections and preventative

maintenance


RENTALS:

· Manage rental/replacement trucks requests and create rental agreements in Igloo

· Verify business legitimacy & proof of insurance before rentals

· Complete check-out and check-in process (documents and pictures) for any rentals,

and record any additional damage or missing fuel

· Inform the service manager if repairs are needed on a vehicle


SERVICE:

· Create work orders for vehicles coming in the shop

· Prepare and send POs to suppliers or Mendon Parts Department

· Give regular updates to customers on the status of their vehicles in the shop

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Shop, office, yards, and vehicle environments, may require lifting of 50 to 75 lbs.



Qualifications

At least one year of shop experience (truck or automotive)

A Valid Driver's License

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 6:30am- 3:00pm
Compensation: Hourly $21.63- $26.44 /hr
