Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse experienced in Step-down care to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract position allows you to apply your skills in a fast-paced environment where critical thinking and compassionate care are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications safely and accurately following established protocols.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide hands-on care involving pushing, pulling, and lifting as needed to assist patients.
- Manage patient loads with a 3:1 nurse-to-patient ratio in step-down areas, 5:1 during day shifts, and 7:1 during night shifts.
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain adherence to Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) guidelines and procedures.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Proven experience working in a step-down or intermediate care unit.
- Strong skills in patient assessments and care planning.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including pushing, pulling, and lifting safely.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
