About the Role
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance team responsible for ensuring continuous and safe operation of all machinery, equipment, and facilities in a food manufacturing environment. This hands-on leadership role supports production efficiency, preventive maintenance, and equipment reliability. Responsibilities:
- Supervise maintenance technicians across all shifts to ensure timely completion of work orders
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for production and facility equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Maintain equipment logs, inventory, and maintenance records in compliance with OSHA standards
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and support equipment reliability
- Order spare parts and manage relationships with vendors and contractors
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and respond to emergency maintenance issues
- Support plant utility systems including refrigeration, boilers, compressed air, and water treatment systems
Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in electrical systems, mechanical troubleshooting, and PLC control systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and maintenance manuals
- High school diploma or technical certificate in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical systems
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or engineering technology
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Knowledge of lean maintenance strategies and continuous improvement principles
- Welding, fabrication, or machining skills
- OSHA 30-hour certification
