We are seeking an NP Nurse Practitioner to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses in people receiving dialysis
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments, using approved algorithms as well as clinical judgement.
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Implement patient management policies and procedures
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities after discussion with nephrologists
- Communicate with collaborating nephrologist regarding patient care
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields, preferably in dialysis
- Ability to build rapport with patients is very important in this chronically ill population
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative in team care with nursing, nutritionists and social workers, as well as primary nephrologists.
