Responsibilities:
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities aligned with early childhood developmental goals.
Foster a nurturing and safe classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with assistant teachers and classroom aides.
Communicate effectively and professionally with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and development.
Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
Observe and document children’s growth, behaviors, and milestones.
Ensure all health, safety, and licensing requirements are met at all times.
Qualifications:
Valid New York State (NYS) Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Education is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
Strong understanding of child development for ages 2–3.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
