Summary for Legal Writing Paralegal:
Are you a litigation paralegal who enjoys writing and wants to use those skills in a more substantive, content-driven role? Join a globally recognized AM 100 law firm in this writing-intensive position supporting the Firm’s litigation practice through high-profile awards, rankings, and recognition initiatives. Working closely with litigation attorneys and business development leadership, you’ll draft compelling narratives that showcase complex matters, attorney achievements, and practice strengths—while remaining deeply connected to the substance of litigation work.
Responsibilities for Legal Writing Paralegal:
- Draft and manage litigation-focused submissions for legal awards, rankings, surveys, and directories.
- Write and edit narratives summarizing litigation matters, attorney accomplishments, and practice strengths.
- Prepare and update partner biographies, litigation practice overviews, and matter descriptions.
- Monitor litigation developments and revise submissions content as matters progress.
- Coordinate attorney interviews and prepare background materials for submissions-related discussions.
- Track deadlines, maintain submissions calendars, and organize supporting documentation and archives.
Requirements for Legal Writing Paralegal:
- Bachelor’s degree required; English, Communications, Political Science, or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience as a litigation paralegal or within a law firm environment.
- Strong interest in legal writing, research, and content development.
- Excellent writing, editing, and reading comprehension skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with legal research tools is a plus.
