We are looking for a Counter Sales / Warehouse Associate to join our Dansville branch. This role is ideal for someone with 1–3 years of sales, warehouse, or customer service experience who enjoys problem-solving, working with people, and staying hands-on in a fast-paced environment. You’ll play a key role in providing excellent customer experiences at our sales counter while also supporting warehouse operations including stocking, picking, and order fulfillment.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
What You’ll Do
- Greet and assist customers at the sales counter with professionalism, respect, and product knowledge.
- Consult with walk-in and call-in customers to understand needs and recommend solutions.
- Process orders accurately and efficiently using company systems.
- Pick and stage materials from warehouse inventory to fulfill orders.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and maintaining inventory.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring accuracy and product quality.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe counter and warehouse areas.
- Build strong customer relationships and provide responsive, knowledgeable service.
- Demonstrate and expand your product knowledge across plumbing, HVAC, and electrical supplies.
- Collaborate with team members and managers to achieve branch goals.
Requirements:
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in counter sales, warehouse, or customer service (distribution or trade experience preferred).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in learning technical product knowledge.
- Customer-first mindset with a professional, positive attitude.
- Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office.
- Willing and able to operate material handling equipment.
- Reliable transportation to the branch location.
- Ability to stand on feet for extended periods and occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
