As the 1115 Waiver Program Housing Advocate for Catholic Charities of Saratoga, Warren, & Washington Counties you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:
- Provide comprehensive housing support to eligible households under the 1115 Waiver, ensuring that all services are documented accurately in the Unite Us platform. Housing services include:
- Pre-tenancy services: Assisting with rental applications, negotiating lease agreements, setting up new housing units, connecting clients to financial assistance for housing costs, and ensuring the living environment meets their needs.
- Stay informed on policies, eligibility requirements, and necessary documentation for programs such as Temporary Assistance, Public Assistance, Section 8 Housing, Rental Assistance, SSI/SSDI, SNAP, HEAP, and other relevant resources.
- Provide guidance and advocacy to help clients negotiate expanded benefits and advocate for themselves in conferences and hearings.
- Assist clients in securing stable housing, including:
- Conducting outreach to landlords and establishing partnerships.
- Helping clients locate and apply for affordable housing.
1115 Waiver Program Housing Advocate Minimum Salary: $22.00 / Hour
1115 Waiver Program Housing Advocate Maximum Salary: $22.00 / Hour
1115 Waiver Program Housing Advocate Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30AM – 4:00PM (35 hours per week)
Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Human Services or related field
1-3 years of experience in mental health, substance use, or human services
