Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is needed to support an elementary student with specialized healthcare needs in North Tonawanda, NY, and surrounding areas including Depew, NY. This is a contract position for the 2024-2025 school year, running from September 3, 2024, through June 25, 2025.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one nursing care for an elementary student on the autism spectrum with a tracheostomy and gastrostomy tube (G-tube).
• Monitor seizure activity and manage trach and G-tube care throughout the school day.
• Acpany the student during transportation to and from school, beginning and ending the day at the district transportation lot.
• Collaborate with the students family and healthcare team, including participation in interview sessions.

Qualifications:

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of New York.
• Proven experience with seizure monitoring, tracheostomy, and G-tube care.
• Ability to follow a scheduled workday from approximately 7:55 AM to 3:45 PM on Mondays and Tuesdays.
• Strong munication skills and fort working closely with students requiring intensive nursing care.

Location and Schedule:

• Services provided in elementary school settings in North Tonawanda, NY and nearby locations, including Depew.
• Contract duration: 2024-2025 school year (NSY).
• Scheduled workdays: Monday and Tuesday, transport and school hours included.
• Candidates will meet at the transportation lot each morning and be dropped off there after school.
