Haider Engineering P.C. is looking for Project Controls Professionals (VDC, Strategy/Reporting and Scheduling) for a Port Authority of NY & NJ job for Project Controls for both on-site and fully remote positions.

The duties/responsibilities and qualifications for each of the positions are as follows:

Project Controls - VDC:

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural, Engineering or related degree
• +5 years of professional experience in BIM software and tools
• Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, ReCAP, Autodesk Construction Cloud is a must
• Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D is highly desired
• Experience with Dynamo or other automation tools is a plus
• Explain two projects that demonstrate the use of the BIM or CAD components
• Strong communication skills, oral and written

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Be responsible for ensuring that projects are organized and executed consistently according to company standards and processes
• Research and provide support during the development and/or implementation of new processes, workflows, and guidelines for internal and external use
• Attend project meetings and help to lead training and workshops
• Coordinate with Architects/Engineers in weekly progress meetings
• Ensure BIM Standards are being incorporated correctly and that things are being submitted on time
• Provide Training and assistance to the project team
• Assist with drafting, modeling or BIM Coordination process if/as needed

Project Controls – Strategy/Reporting

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural, Engineering or related degree
• +5 years of professional experience in Design and/or Construction Management
• Experience using Primavera P6, Microsoft project is a plus
• Strong communication skills, oral and written
• Experience in in creating baseline schedules and proactively updating based on progress
• Explain two projects that demonstrate your monthly cost loaded schedules

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Prepare project status reports, such as, annual, monthly and ad-hoc schedule and cost reports; contract awards and construction services; critical variance.
• Provide design and programming services in the area of integrated computerized program/project control and reporting system.
• Identify and resolve data integrity issues
• Create ways to store, organize and present data
• Work with managers and departments to identify user needs
• Recommend revisions to processes and procedures
• Integrate information from systems throughout the agency including SAP, Primavera, P6, WinTrak (construction data), PowerBI etc.
• Prepare technical and training documentation and presentations
• Integrate vintage systems data new systems
• Create high-level reporting system

Project Controls – Scheduling:

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural, Engineering or related degree
• +7 years of professional experience in Construction Management and Scheduling
• Experience using Primavera P6, Microsoft project is a plus
• Strong communication skills, oral and written
• Experience in Baseline and Update Reviews
• Explain two projects that demonstrate your Baseline and update review experience

• Provide technical guidance to the Project Controls specialist/support staff
• Coordinate efforts for effective implementation of enterprise scheduling software, Oracle Primavera P6
• Provide project control support for major projects, develop and maintain project schedules
• Prepare monthly, quarter performance and ad-hoc cost /schedule reports
• Prepare performance measurement reports on schedule variance, cost variance based on critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis
• Maintain engineering resource codes in P6
• Manage monthly project status and resource codes updates
• Document project controls execution plan, project controls procedures, and coordination of progress reports
• Develop Engineering Project Controls and scheduling guidelines
• Provide training and administer Primavera Scheduling software Generation of data queries – writing scripts, stored procedures, views, backup data, pivots, etc.
