We are working with a well-established, national law firm that is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join their Corporate group based out of New York City!
The Corporate Attorney will serve a variety of clientele and industries including entertainment, music, television, media, health & wellness, sports, fashion, start-ups, and more!

Job Details
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in intellectual property, various forms of media production and exploitation, start-up ventures, corporate organization and restructuring, and employment matters.
Responsibilities:
- Structure and negotiate a wide variety of domestic and international media and entertainment-related agreements including capsule ventures, IP licensing agreements, recording contracts, development, production, financing and distribution deals, talent agreements, releases, management agreements, partnership deals, services agreements, consulting agreements, network deals, promotion agreements and option agreements
- Structure, negotiate, document, and manage various transactions
- Provide strategic business and legal advice to clients on general legal matters
- Advise clients on legal rights, contractual responsibilities, and other matters arising out of various agreements
- Advise on changes in the law with respect to restrictive covenants as they relate to employment
- Establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships with regular, effective and timely communications concerning deal negotiation and business strategy
- Contribute to relevant internal and departmental process development and management, as well as deal-making resources
Requirements:
- J.D. with strong academic performance and membership in good standing with the New York bar (CA bar also desired)!
- 4+ years of transactional experience working in a corporate or entertainment law firm, or in-house experience with a media company’s legal affairs department
- Experience with intellectual property rights and exploitation, risk mitigation, contract drafting. corporate governance, financing, indemnification
- Expertise with respect to corporate formation and start-up activities, contract review, negotiations, and intellectual property law
