Job Title: Production Clerk
Department: Operations & Production
Reports To: Production Manager
Location: [Suffolk County Long Island, NY]Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Production Clerk to support our Production and Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing production documentation, managing data entry for time tracking, and assisting with invoice processing. This role also serves as a liaison between production supervisors, staffing agencies, and finance teams to ensure smooth daily operations.Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase orders and invoices using internal systems
- Track and reconcile temporary labor hours across shifts (day, afternoon, and night)
- Communicate with staffing agencies to confirm labor needs and headcount
- Prepare production documentation, including labels and time reports
- Maintain accurate filing of daily production and packaging records
- Assist with data reconciliation for Finance & Accounting teams
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or operations support role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Preferred:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Payroll, or related field
- Prior experience in food manufacturing or similar environment
- Basic understanding of finance/accounting principles and HACCP/GMP standards
Additional Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and weekends if required
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
Work Environment:
- Office-based within a production facility.
Pay Details: $20.25 per hour
