NURSE PRACTITIONER

Job Types: Full-time

Pay: $145,197.00 - $152,236.50 per year

Accomplished Board-Certified Advanced Practice Providers to manage diverse patient panels in busy Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) providing integrated care to families living in the Brooklyn and vicinity. Will work collaboratively with primary care physicians and other specialty providers to ensure quality primary and preventive care for all ages. A strong commitment to community health required, bilingual Spanish a plus. Full-time options on Bedford Avenue Location

Monday to Friday hours with one evening per week and one Saturday per month may be required. Rotating phone call coverage.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (Preferred)
  • Proficient in-patient care and assessment
  • Experience with EHR systems, including Epic and Cerner
  • Skilled in catheterization, IV insertion, and tube feeding
  • Knowledge of physiology and critical care
  • Familiarity with gastroenterology and assisted living environments
  • Experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)


Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Perform catheterization, IV insertion, and tube feeding as needed.
  • Utilize EHR systems to document patient information and track progress.
  • Provide basic life support and manage critical care situations effectively.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Communicate with patients and families in both English and Spanish to enhance understanding and support.
