Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity exists for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a K-12 educational setting. This position is focused on providing therapeutic services during the extended school year, catering to a diverse student population.
Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: Contract position for the extended school year, July 7th - August 15th
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide speech and language therapy to students with varying needs.
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with educators to implement them.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and session activities.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding therapy goals and outcomes.
- Provide consultation to teachers and staff on speech and language development.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist with a CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence).
- Experience working in K-12 settings preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of IEP processes and effective intervention strategies.
