This role focuses on providing essential psychological services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade within a small school district, ensuring that each of the approximately 700 students receives the support they need to thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State School Psychologist certification
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in small school settings
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Knowledge of special education laws and practices
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills
Location:Wellsville, NY
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators
- Provide direct counseling services to students and support their emotional well-being
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families regarding student needs and interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
