Manufacturing Operator II – 2nd Shift
Location: Hauppauge, NY

Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Shift: 2nd Shift – 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM (Hours may vary based on business needs)
Experience: 1–15 years (Granulation experience required)
Reports To: Facilities Operations Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Operator II to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing team in Hauppauge, NY. In this role, you will assist in producing oral solid dosage products while maintaining compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
This is a hands-on, multifunctional role, primarily focused on manufacturing operations, but may also include support for warehouse, packaging, and facilities functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense raw materials and packaging materials per work orders.
- Plan and execute production batches accurately and efficiently.
- Perform cleaning and sanitation of production areas and equipment according to SOPs.
- Operate machinery, perform basic maintenance, and coordinate with engineering for preventive care.
- Conduct in-process checks and maintain accurate batch records.
- Ensure smooth changeovers between batches and products.
- Work collaboratively with QA, QC, and packaging teams to meet production goals.
- Follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE at all times.
- Maintain 100% compliance with cGMP and company policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required); college certificate or degree preferred.
- 1+ year experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing with oral solid dosage.
- Knowledge of cGMP and regulatory requirements (preferred).
- Basic mechanical skills and understanding of control systems.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and math skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and occasionally up to 50 lbs (with equipment).
- Standing, bending, and moving for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear respiratory devices and other PPE.
