The Installation Manager at Digifabshop & CWK Associates is responsible for overall supervision of our architectural wood and metal work installations and processes by collaborating on plans and designs for residential and commercial buildings and coordinating with our project management office and production teams. The Installation Manager is a critical member of the team that ensures that all DFW products are installed according to the highest quality control standards set by the company.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Develop installation plans by consulting with DFW project managers, engineers, and production staff. Responsible for visiting construction sites to obtain field measurements as well as reviewing the progress of projects to ensure that clients’ objectives are met.
  • Provide daily oversite and coordination with installation subcontractors, GCs, and architects in support of DFW Projects team.
  • Ensure all projects components are installed to company quality control standards.
  • Assist with oversight and coordinating with project management and engineers during the design development phase.
  • Assist with oversight and coordinating with project management and engineers during the production phase.
  • Responsible for planning and execution of strategic and operational initiatives as set by Senior Management
  • Assists personnel in development and training toward career path goals.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with all legal regulations and OSHA requirements.
  • Obtain and maintain OSHA SST training.
  • Adherence to companywide SOPs


Necessary Skills:

  • Must be able to quickly read and understand 3D renderings, digital architectural drawings, and custom millwork shop drawings.
  • Competency with Rhino and AutoCAD software.
  • The ability to understand relationships between components, assemblies, and production processes without modeling.
  • Examines products, services, or processes to evaluate their quality with a sharp eye for detail.
  • The ability to manage time effectively, juggle competing tasks, and prioritize when necessary.
  • Proficient in use of multiple software platforms and cloud-based solutions including but not limited to MS Office and Dropbox
  • A fluent understanding of the machine and production solutions common to the wood and metal working industries
  • A working knowledge of hardware and materials common in architectural fabrication
  • Verbally conveys accurate information to Senior Management, Project Management, and all other shop employees in a clear and diplomatic manner.
  • Gives full attention to what other people are saying, takes time to understand the points being made, asks questions as appropriate.
  • Communicates clearly, concisely, and completely in writing; understands and obeys all conventions of spelling and grammar in business communications.
  • Quickly reads, understands, and absorbs a variety of written material including but not limited to books, technical manuals, and other work-related documents.
  • Uses mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) to solve problems; possesses a working knowledge of fractions, decimals, and standard/metric measurements.


Physical Requirements:

  • Near Vision - The ability to identify details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
  • Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Maintain Stationary Position – The ability to sit or stand continuously for up to 2 hours at a time.
