Job Description
Educational Background:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited physical therapy program is preferred.
Valid state license to practice physical therapy in NY State
Experience:
Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a physical therapy or rehabilitation center.
Experience with a diverse range of patients, including those with orthopedic, neurological, and sports-related injuries.
Experience in a large practice or chain setting is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in physical therapy techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modality usage.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Knowledge of specialized equipment and tools used in physical therapy treatments.
Soft Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Empathy and patience to provide compassionate care to patients.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving patients.
Stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual therapy techniques.
