Insurance Defense Attorney - New York Bar Required
Location: White Plains, NY (Hybrid or Remote flexibility)
Compensation: $150,000-$185,000+ Base Salary plus bonus opportunities, excellent Health Benefits, 401k and other Comprehensive Benefits/Perks!
A respected litigation firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Insurance Defense Attorney to join its dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a strong background in civil litigation, particularly in insurance defense matters, who is licensed to practice in New York.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in insurance-related litigation, including personal injury, property damage, and coverage disputes
- Manage case files from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and participating in trials and settlement negotiations
- Attend court appearances, depositions, and mediations throughout New York
- Provide legal analysis and strategy recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active New York State Bar membership
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant insurance defense litigation experience
- Strong oral advocacy, legal writing, and case management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues
