Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Quality Inspector to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience inspecting electrical components, assemblies, and wiring systems, ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of electrical components, wiring, and assemblies to ensure compliance with blueprints, schematics, and industry standards.
  • Perform functional and safety testing using specialized equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers.
  • Identify and document defects, non-conformities, and deviations from specifications, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including IPC-A-610, AS9100, or ISO 9001, as applicable.
  • Utilize soldering inspection techniques to verify workmanship and integrity of solder joints on circuit boards and electrical connections.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and work instructions to verify proper assembly.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records and generate quality reports for management.
  • Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and quality assurance personnel to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and final quality audits before product shipment.
  • Assist in training production staff on quality standards and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in electrical quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, circuit boards, and electronic components.
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as IPC-A-610, AS9100, ISO 9001, or other relevant industry certifications.
  • Ability to use inspection tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters, and high-pot testers.
  • Knowledge of soldering processes, including SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and through-hole soldering.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ability to document inspection results.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification.
  • Experience with automated inspection equipment (AOI, X-ray).
  • Previous experience in aerospace, automotive, or electronics manufacturing.
