Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Ultrasound Technician to join our outpatient diagnostic team in the Bronx, NY. This per diem role involves performing high-quality ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. The Ultrasound Technician will collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and medical staff to deliver efficient and compassionate care during day shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination rooms and ultrasound equipment prior to procedures
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations with accuracy and professionalism
- Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and vascular ultrasound procedures
- Identify, recognize, and document appropriate anatomy and pathology
- Record and write reports based on completed ultrasound scans
- Monitor and maintain ultrasound equipment; report any malfunctions promptly
- Notify appropriate medical staff of abnormal or urgent findings
- Work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times
- Exhibit a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and professional demeanor
- Participate in ongoing professional development to improve patient care
Requirements: - Ability to work flexible day shifts on a per diem basis
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Qualifications: - Graduate of an accredited Sonography, Radiology, or Medical Imaging Technology program
- Prior experience in a medical or surgical clinical setting
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
