Med/Surg - 1st Acute
Key Details:

- Days/Nights rotation
- $55–$58/hr, depending on experience
The Level 1 Registered Nurse (RN) in the Med/Surg 1st Acute unit provides safe, high-quality nursing care to adult patients in an acute care hospital setting. This part-time role supports both day and night shifts, delivering patient-centered care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to Med/Surg acute care patients
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
- Monitor patient condition and respond promptly to changes in status
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Follow all hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing leadership, and care teams
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Level 1 RN experience or demonstrated competency in acute care nursing
- Prior Med/Surg experience preferred
- BLS required
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
Schedule & Work Requirements:
- Part-Time: 2 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Days/Nights rotation
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call required
