ProCare Therapy is hiring a full-time ASL Interpreter (SLI) for a school-based position in Centereach, NY for the 2024-2025 school year. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, providing communication access in the classroom and other school activities.
Position Details:
- Location: Centereach, NY
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday
- Duration: 2024-2025 School Year
- Caseload: Working with students in an educational setting
- Certification: Must hold a Certified NYS ASL Interpreter License
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide ASL interpretation to ensure accessibility in academic and extracurricular settings
- Bridge communication between students, teachers, and school staff
- Assist students with developing communication and language skills
- Work as part of a collaborative educational team
Qualifications:
- Certified NYS ASL Interpreter License
- Experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
