Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Compensation: $325,000 - $445,000

Overview:
Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law Global 100 firm seeking an experienced Leasing Associate to join its New York office. This is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to work with a nationally recognized and rapidly expanding Real Estate practice. The team is collaborative, cross-trained, and focused on providing responsive, high-quality service to clients of all sizes across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate commercial leases, with a strong emphasis on retail and office leasing

  • Contribute to high-level client communications and negotiations

  • Collaborate with a team experienced in leasing, lease litigation, construction litigation, and bankruptcy

  • Manage multiple deadlines and prioritize workflow in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial leasing from a reputable law firm (Big Law experience preferred)

  • Significant experience drafting and negotiating retail and office leases; industrial leasing is a plus

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Strong academic credentials and professional presence

  • NY Bar admission required

  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, multitask, and take ownership of complex matters

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary between $325,000 – $445,000, depending on experience and geographic location
