The Company State Mines is hiring a skilled Millwright to support our underground zinc mining operation in Gouverneur, NY. Our location offers easy access to stunning destinations like the Thousand Islands, Lake Ontario shoreline, the Adirondack Mountains, and world-class skiing in Lake Placid. Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair cone crushers, jaw crushers, conveyor belts, and drive units

• Rebuild and service industrial slurry pumps

• Perform welding, fabrication, and pipefitting

• Follow all MSHA and company safety policies

• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs

• Collaborate with the mill crew to maintain production

• Be flexible with hours when urgent repairs or projects arise

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with rod and ball milling

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial machinery

• Proficient with hand tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools

• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve under pressure

• Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy equipment

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

Nice-to-Have:

• Previous industrial or mining experience is a plus

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Legally authorized to work in the U.S. is required.
