Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg General Surgery/Trauma night position requiring an active NY RN license and strong Epic EMR skills.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a hospital setting on the General Surgery/Trauma B3 unit
- Care for adult surgical and trauma patients
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
- 13-week contract assignment
- Epic EMR system is used and prior experience is required
- No blocked scheduling allowed
- Provide skilled nursing care to surgery and trauma patients as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Competency testing modules must be completed before starting, if applicable
- Vacation or time off must be requested at time of application
- More than three call-outs during the contract may result in termination and make-up shifts are mandatory
- Travel pairs are not permitted for this assignment
- Travelers may only be considered for one position at a time
\n \n Requirements\n
- Active NY state RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years recent Med-Surg or General Surgery/Trauma RN experience
- Current AHA or RQI BLS certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- U.S. Social Security Number required
- Must pass Med-Surg competency testing if less than 2 years of experience; two attempts allowed
- Medical documentation required for flu exemptions; personal or religious declinations not accepted
- Local candidates residing within Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible
