Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in the Buffalo, NY area is seeking a dedicated school psychologist to support elementary school students during the current school year on a contract basis. This role involves working closely with staff, students, and families to promote student success and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for elementary students.
- Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to identify and address student challenges.
- Provide counseling and support services to students as needed.
- Contribute to the development of individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and conferences.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with district policies.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a school psychologist.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to design and implement effective intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
- Ability to work within a team-oriented environment.
Work Schedule:This role follows a typical elementary school schedule, 8:35 AM to 3:35 PM.
Location:Elementary school setting in the Buffalo, NY area.
