Job Title: Research Support Assistant

Grade: 10

Salary: $43,700 - $52,101

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates to fill a full-time position as a Research Assistant to contribute to the coordination of etiological and interventional research studies in individuals with schizophrenia and related psychotic disorders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creating data collection instruments and performing data entry
  • Interacting with research subjects including calls for scheduling, taking vital signs measurements, phlebotomy (blood draws) and sample processing, performing on site urine pregnancy and drug tests, assisting with MRI and PET scans, ECGs, EEGs and other study-specific procedures
  • Performing general clerical work (file research documents, organize patient charts, and obtain medical records)
  • Assisting with grant, protocol and manuscript writing
  • Providing direct assistance to the Associate Director and Director
  • Conducting other work related to the implementation and maintenance of clinical research studies
  • Occasional, brief remote weekend work

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CITI GCP/HSR certifications
  • Interest in human subjects research.
  • Training and experience with data entry and use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must be well-organized and have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willing to be certified for phlebotomy
