We’re looking to hire a hard-working, motivated, customer service minded individual for the full-time position of Commercial Maintenance Technician.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and effective completion of work including routine tenant service requests, preventative maintenance, emergency maintenance, capital improvement and replacements, tool and equipment maintenance, and seasonal maintenance.
  • Perform required maintenance and/or repairs to building systems (plumbing, carpentry, roofing, electrical, mechanical, painting/drywall, HVAC, fire protection and security systems, elevators, as applicable).
  • Perform grounds maintenance, including snow removal; operating all related equipment.
  • On-call duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a positive customer service attitude; be professional, pleasant, and responsive to tenants, prospective tenants, vendors, and contractors.
  • Conduct all business in accordance with Americans with Disabilities Act, OSHA, federal, state, local, and all other laws pertaining to commercial leasing.
  • Oversee maintenance personnel and activities in absence of Facilities Manager.

Landsman Development Corp. (LDC) was established in 1971 by its founder and initial shareholder, Elliott Landsman. Since its inception, the company has developed and invested in a wide variety of projects including industrial, commercial, office, retail, and multi-family residential, both subsidized and conventional. Most of the properties developed are owned by partnerships in which LDC has retained an interest as managing general partner or managing member.


Mayzon Management Corporation was incorporated in 1972 to manage real estate developed by its parent company, Landsman Development Corp. The company name has evolved over the years, and the name has been changed to Landsman Real Estate Services, Inc. Landsman has grown to manage more than 2,400 rental units and over three million square feet of industrial, commercial and office space and has also become the property management company of choice for several third-party owners.

Requirements:

Minimum Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent


Minimum Experiential Requirements:

  • 2+ years maintenance or construction experience.
  • Prior experience related to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and building systems.

Special Skills/ Work Conditions Required:

  • Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be able to communicate in English with tenants, emergency providers and outside contractors.
  • May be required to leave the property to purchase supplies, go to the bank, etc., depending on the needs of the property.
  • Must have a mechanical aptitude; skillful use of equipment and tools, and have physical and manual dexterity skills.
  • Must be able to manage a flexible schedule including overtime and be available for mandatory on-call as assigned.
  • Required use of a cell phone while on-call.
  • Must complete 10 hour OSHA General Industry Safety and Health Course if not previously completed.
  • Must be able to walk, move, transport up to 100 lb. loads, bend, stoop, climb stairs, access and work in confined spaces as well as at heights in excess of 20 feet and have the mobility required to use ladders.
