Position: CNC Machine Operator

Objective: We are seeking dedicated CNC Machine Operators to produce high-quality, uncomplicated production parts according to print specifications. This role involves working under continued direction and training to ensure precision and efficiency in manufacturing processes.

Job Duties

As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Training and Safety:
    • Demonstrate Proper Work Methods: Learn and exhibit correct work methods and procedures under direct and continuous training.
    • Tool and Equipment Usage: Utilize tools and equipment safely and effectively.
    • Program Execution: Run written programs for CNC machines to produce production parts with precision.
    • Machining Operations: Perform simple machining operations to support cell deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate production.
    • Compliance: Adhere to all rules and regulations outlined in the employee handbook.
    • Task Execution: Carry out tasks within the scope and skill level of the position to support department objectives and develop your skills.
    • CORE Guidelines: Follow CORE guidelines and perform CORE duties as required.
    • EH&S Guidelines: Strictly adhere to all Environmental Health & Safety guidelines, including the wearing of required personal protective equipment.

  • Technical Proficiency:
    • CNC Machine Operation: Operate CNC machines with accuracy and efficiency.
    • Production: Understand and manage production processes.
    • Lathe Operation: Skilled in operating lathe machines.
    • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
    • Machining: Perform various machining tasks with precision.
    • Machine Operating: Operate different types of machinery effectively.
    • Precision Measuring Instruments: Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
    • Assembly: Assemble parts and components accurately.
    • CNC Lathe Operation: Operate CNC lathe machines proficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you should have:

  • Knowledge:
  • Basic Machine Shop Practices: Familiarity with fundamental machine shop practices.

    • Shop Mathematics: Ability to apply basic shop mathematics.
    • Precision Measuring Instruments: Experience working with a variety of precision measuring instruments.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Lifting: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. independently.
    • Physical Capabilities: Physically capable of bending, lifting, squatting, twisting, overhead reaching, standing for long periods (up to 8 hours), and climbing stairs.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum Experience: At least 6+ months of relevant experience in a similar role.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
