The Lead Instructor is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality instruction in the assigned program area, ensuring compliance with state, BPSS, and institutional standards. This role involves teaching, training other faculty, assisting administration with curriculum implementation and revision, and maintaining a positive learning environment that supports student success.

Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum Oversight
- Deliver engaging, student-centered lectures and practical skill demonstrations
- Ensure curriculum is taught in accordance with approved syllabi, accreditation standards, and institutional policies.
- Recommend updates to curriculum and instructional materials to reflect current industry practices and regulatory changes.
- Integrate technology and diverse teaching strategies to meet varied learning styles
- Assist with interviewing and onboarding new instructors
- Seek and maintain clinical affiliation sites in collaboration with administration
- Visit clinical sites to ensure students are having a positive learning experience.
Faculty Leadership & Support
- Provide guidance, mentorship, supervision and training to instructors within the program
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback
- Assist in scheduling, assigning instructional duties, and ensuring faculty coverage
- Serve as the primary point of contact for faculty regarding academic and instructional concerns
- Ensure Instructors licenses are up to date
- Ensure there are appropriate number of instructors to teach.
Student Support & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor student progress and intervene early to address academic or attendance concerns
- Support faculty in managing student issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions, in accordance with school policy
- Foster a professional, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
- Schedule students for clinicals and ensure they complete all required hours
- Communicate with affiliations sites to ensure students are following policies and address any concerns
Compliance & Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and student records in the school’s Student Information System (SIS).
- Ensure faculty and students comply with school policies, dress code, and safety regulations
- Participate in staff meetings, program advisory board meetings, and accreditation visits as required
- Collaborate with the administration to ensure program compliance with BPSS and accrediting agency standards.
Qualifications
- Current license/certification in the relevant healthcare field
- Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in the field
- At least 2 years of instructional or educational leadership experience preferred
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and diverse teaching methodologies
- Proficiency in using educational technology, including online learning platforms
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
