Senior Site Safety Plan Coordinator
Position Overview
The Senior Site Safety Plan Coordinator plays a critical role in the development, review, and refinement of Construction Safety Plans and Construction Logistics Plans. This position ensures that all safety planning meets or exceeds OSHA, NYC Building Code – Chapter 33, FDNY, DOT, and other applicable regulatory requirements. The Senior Coordinator leverages technical expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam to create and review precise, compliant, and effective safety documentation, while proactively identifying risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Plan Development & Review
- Plan Design: Lead the creation and design of Construction Safety Plans and Construction Logistics Plans, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
- Plan Review: Review and approve safety plans prepared by other Coordinators or team members, verifying accuracy, clarity, and regulatory compliance.
- Compliance Monitoring: Regularly update safety plans to reflect evolving standards, codes, and regulations.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
- Technical Proficiency: Apply expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam to produce and refine safety and logistics diagrams with precision.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Collaborate closely with leadership to ensure safety plan development aligns with the company’s broader strategy and goals.
- Coordinate with clients, project managers, and regulatory agencies to ensure plan accuracy and timely approval.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior Safety Plan Coordinators, ensuring quality and consistency across all deliverables.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed, accurate records of all safety plans, revisions, and related documentation.
- Contribute to compliance reporting and ensure all submissions meet DOB and other regulatory agency requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety, site logistics, or safety planning.
- Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour required; CHST, CSP, or similar safety credentials preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam required.
- Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to review and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
