Maintenance Worker
Bring your Heart to Coarc
Location: Columbia County, NY
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | On-call rotation every 4 weeks'
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour

Make a Difference Behind the Scenes
Coarc is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Worker to help keep our homes and facilities safe, functional, and welcoming for the people we support-people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this role, your skills will directly contribute to maintaining a high quality of life for others.
What You'll Do:
- Perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and upkeep of Coarc's buildings, homes, and grounds.
- Troubleshoot and repair systems including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and appliances.
- Complete routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and urgent repairs.
- Keep walkways, driveways, and entrances safe and clear year-round.
- Participate in groundskeeping tasks like mowing, trimming, and general landscaping.
- Assist with construction projects and home modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and inspections.
- Be part of an on-call rotation every 4 weeks for after-hours or emergency support.
- Support and mentor individuals with disabilities in work-based roles when needed.
What You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or GED required. Trade school or associate's degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in building maintenance or related trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
- Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and technical diagrams.
- Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license required.
