Salary: $85,000.00 to $90,000.00

Your Role as an Education Supervisor

  • Support High-Quality Instruction – Supervise the planning and execution of lessons that follow Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) guidelines. Review weekly lesson plans to ensure alignment with Rebecca School’s educational philosophy. Lead curriculum development and implementation that supports individualized, meaningful learning experiences.
  • Coach & Supervise Teaching Staff – Supervise teachers and provide weekly individual and departmental supervision meetings. Conduct annual evaluations and classroom observations. Support teachers in administering educational assessments and developing treatment plans and goals to enhance student learning and functional abilities.
  • Foster Team Collaboration & Communication – Plan and facilitate meetings with classroom staff to address team dynamics, student needs, and instructional planning. Maintain professional relationships with all staff and serve as a liaison between teachers and parents regarding academic and classroom-related concerns.
  • Engage in Professional Development & School Initiatives – Attend weekly supervision with your supervisor, participate in team meetings, Greenspan meetings, and staff development trainings. Supervise field trips and support ongoing DIR® training in classrooms. Maintain professional competence through continuing education and staff development programs.
  • Perform Additional Duties as Assigned – Carry out other responsibilities as designated by administrative staff to support the overall mission and functioning of the school.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in special education from an accredited college or university.
  • New York State Teacher Certification
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience within a school or therapeutic clinical setting
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience with students with neurodevelopmental delays

Preferred/Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of DIRFloortime® Model
  • Bilingual
