SANY's Syracuse Academy of Science Middle School is excited to announce the opening of a Full-Time Building Substitute for the 2025-2026 academic year.
We have a great environment for new teachers and encourage experienced teachers to apply!
As a Daily Substitute, you will:
- Assist with preparation and instruction
- Work closely with small groups of students and provide intervention
- Actively participate in weekly meetings and attend all school-wide events
- Implement classroom policies and procedures
- Lead students to and from specials/lunch
- Effectively manage student behavior
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
- Certification preferred but not required. Certification in ELA and Math a plus
- Experience with a diverse population of students or in an urban setting a plus
- Prior teaching experience preferred, and novice teachers encouraged to apply!
- Fingerprint clearance through the NYS Department of Education
