Location: Rochester, NY
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts
Shift Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Total Hours: 36 hours per week

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN) to join an acute care hospital team on a travel assignment. This role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult patients requiring medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, adaptable, and comfortable working night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients

  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry alarms

  • Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

  • Accurately document patient care and assessments in the electronic medical record

  • Identify and report changes in patient condition promptly

  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York or compact where applicable)

  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent MS/Tele or acute care hospital experience

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred

  • Strong telemetry interpretation skills
