This opportunity is ideal for an experienced ESL Teacher passionate about supporting elementary students in their language development. The position is based in Buffalo, NY, within an elementary school setting, offering a contract for the upcoming school year.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering engaging English as a Second Language instruction tailored to diverse learner needs
- Developing lesson plans that enhance language acquisition and cultural understanding
- Assessing student progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly
- Collaborating with classroom teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
- Communicating effectively with parents and guardians about student progress and needs
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certification or licensure to teach ESL
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a classroom setting
- Strong knowledge of language acquisition methods and culturally responsive teaching practices
