Overview
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician. This position is a valued member of our team and plays a critical role in operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and maintenance. This role is responsible for HVAC systems across our portfolio in occupied and unoccupied units, involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. You will work both independently and as part of a team to provide exceptional service and maintain system integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems to ensure efficiency.
  • Repair or replace defective components in HVAC units, including compressors, motors, and electrical controls. Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
  • Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inspections of HVAC systems to ensure applicable compliance & safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used.
  • Provide excellent service by communicating effectively with residents and property managers regarding their HVAC needs.

Skills

  • 3 years minimum experience as an HVAC technician.
  • HVAC Certification required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work after hours, weekends and with short or no notice, a major plus!
  • Strong mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems and equipment repair.
  • Familiarity with refrigerant handling and environmental regulations related to HVAC systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Working knowledge and experience of boiler systems, a major plus!
