We are a locally-owned community pharmacy dedicated to providing personalized service across a range of common and specialty disease states . Our goal has always been to provide excellent patient care in a welcoming environment as well as helping patients and providers navigate the complexities of the healthcare system to access the vital medications they require.
Our pharmacy is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented and compassionate member to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications to patients, maintaining patient files and communicating with physicians regarding prescriptions. We are seeking a candidate with experience working in an outpatient pharmacy or retail store, who is comfortable around the public and can work well in a fast-paced environment where they are constantly under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Know how to use computers and software to complete pharmacy transactions.
- Know how to use computers to access medication information.
- Assist patients with any and all needs.
- Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate
- Resolve issues when they arise (e.g. rejected insurance claims)
- Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory
- Undertake administrative tasks (e.g.record-keeping) as assigned
- Comply with all security measures and quality standards
