About the Role:

As a part-time Diesel Driver at MTLR Corp., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of vehicles across various locations. You will be responsible for driving diesel-powered trucks and ensuring that they are properly picked up or delivered. Your primary goal will be to deliver vehicles to their destination on time and in good condition, while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with appropriate endorsements (Class A or B needed).
  • Proven experience driving diesel trucks, with a clean driving record.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and local traffic laws.
  • At least 1 years of experience driving air-brake equipped trucks
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Comfortable driving in NYC with different lengths of vehicles

  • to meet age requirement for our company insurance policy- must be over 23 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with refrigerated trucks
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems
  • Experience with electronic logging devices
  • Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive diesel-powered trucks
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trucks to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Adhere to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and trip reports.

Skills:

As a Diesel Driver, you will need to have excellent driving skills and a strong understanding of safety regulations. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members. In addition, you will need to have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet in order to troubleshoot any issues that may arise while on the road. Finally, you will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be comfortable with using technology such as GPS navigation systems and electronic logging devices to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.


2 shift options: Monday- Friday 6:00am-11:30am (with 30 minute unpaid lunch)
Monday-Friday 12:00pm-5:30pm (with 30 minute unpaid lunch)
