We’re looking for a dedicated, community-minded leader to oversee all youth and senior recreational programming across our City-owned facilities. This role is essential to creating safe, engaging, and impactful experiences for residents of all ages. You’ll work closely with the Executive Office, supervise staff (including seasonal employees), and help shape programs that truly make a difference in the community.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan, organize, schedule, and supervise recreational activities for youth and seniors.
  • Oversee and support City staff and seasonal employees at City-owned facilities.
  • Identify and communicate facility maintenance needs to Public Works.
  • Promote programs using traditional and social media in coordination with the Executive Office.
  • Collaborate with other governmental and non-profit organizations to enhance programming.
  • Prepare reports, budget requests, supply purchases, and program development updates for the Executive Office.

What You Bring (Skills & Abilities)

  • Strong knowledge of recreational programs for youth and seniors.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and supervise staff and multiple activities.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to build positive relationships with government agencies, community groups, and partner organizations.
  • Ability to collect data, analyze information, and prepare clear administrative reports.
  • Understanding and empathy for the needs of senior citizens.
  • Professionalism, tact, courtesy, and good judgment.

Minimum Qualifications

You must meet one of the following:

Option 1:

  • Associate’s Degree in Human Services and
  • 2 years of related work experience

Option 2:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and
  • 4 years of related work experience
