Screw Machine Maintenance Mechanic
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative and responsive maintenance on production machinery. The Maintenance Mechanic will troubleshoot and make repairs to Hydromat, ACME, and Davenport Screw Machine equipment as well as CNC and manual production to support our facility.
Shift:
2nd Shift, Monday through Thursday , 3pm until 1am
Pay Range depending on Experience:
$25.00 - $40.00 plus a 10% shift differential = $27.50 - $44.00

Job Duties and Responsibilities included but not limited to:
Performs mechanical maintenance of all Machining Dept machinery and equipment.
Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled and preventative maintenance repairs of production equipment.
Uses troubleshooting to effectively and efficiently repair production machinery using skills including mechanical, electrical (up to 480 volt 3 Phase), pneumatic, and hydraulics.
Engages in successful troubleshooting, promptly and accurately gathering relevant information (equipment manuals, blueprints, work orders, and communication with coworkers).
Designs, fabricates, and welds parts to support manufacturing, to include but not limited to the welding of repairs to equipment.
Complies with OSHA and ARC Flash regulations
Uses web-based work order system.
Fills out maintenance work orders in database and initiates requests for replacement spare parts as needed.
Must be able to flex hours for training purposes and major projects within the plant.
Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion, abiding by company rules and safety regulations
Assists with daily support to the Screw Machine department as needed
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED with skilled trades courses desired combined with 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
3-5 years of experience in fabrication and welding preferred
Prior relevant machine maintenance experience to include CNC, Hydromat, Acme and Davenports preferred.
Knowledge:
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite and experience with web-based work order systems.
Must possess skills/knowledge of Industrial Electrician to read and comprehend electrical blueprints and schematics to install, troubleshoot, conduct preventative maintenance and perform repairs to facilities and production equipment to 480 Volts, 3-Phase.
Proficient blueprint reading skills.
Must demonstrate safe working habits, the ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision.
Knowledge and ability to use hand and power tools.
Proficient and well-rounded technical capacity.
Experience with work-order systems, preferably web-based systems.
Ability to become forklift certified.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment in a culturally diverse workplace.
Knowledge in PLC’s and CNC controls
