Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm (occasional early morning, evening, and/or weekend hours may be required to respond to snowstorms or other nonroutine events)

Jowonio School is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facilities and grounds. This role plays a vital part in maintaining a welcoming environment for children, staff, and families in a mission-driven school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and corrective maintenance for building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and structural components
- Assist with interior and exterior upkeep such as painting, light carpentry, and flooring repairs
- Maintain school grounds, including landscaping, mowing, and seasonal snow and ice removal
- Respond to maintenance requests from staff in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with room setups, furniture moves, and event preparation
- Coordinate with contractors and support scheduled building and grounds projects
- Provide occasional janitorial support during emergencies or when coverage is limited
Qualifications
- Experience in building maintenance, facilities, or groundskeeping preferred
- Working knowledge of general maintenance, basic trades, and equipment operation
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting and outdoor work
