Position Overview:
Join our team as an RN Critical Care specializing in Adult PACU at a premier Acute Care/Academic Medical Center in Syracuse. This role demands expertise in post-anesthesia care for adult patients within a dynamic critical care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized post-anesthesia care for adult critical care patients.
- Monitor and manage patient recovery, complications, and pain control.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and patient management.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Licensure: Active New York State RN License
- Certification: BLS certification (must be current or willing to recertify)
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an acute care facility (within the past 2 years)
- PACU experience is required
- Previous critical care experience is essential
- Technical Skills: EPIC EMR proficiency (strongly preferred)
- Soft Skills: Adaptability, critical thinking, and teamwork in fast-paced settings.
