A Specialty Pharmacist role is available in Elmira, NY, offering an opportunity to engage in both clinical and dispensing responsibilities within a newly established Specialty Pharmacy. This contract position involves managing an average prescription volume of 50 per month, focusing on specialty medications with an emphasis on oncology.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical and dispensing duties for specialty pharmacy prescriptions
- Collaborate closely with healthcare providers, primarily in oncology, as well as clinical and pharmacy teams
- Coordinate with Prior Authorization and Financial Assistance teams, along with transportation and support staff
- Ensure accurate and timely handling of specialty medications, contributing to excellent patient care
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active NY pharmacist license
- Proven experience in specialty pharmacy operations
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system is a must
- Familiarity with oncology pharmacy is preferred but not required; exposure to oral oncology treatment is a plus
