Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Daycare Teacher to join our team 7:25am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday! You will be responsible for encouraging childrens intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. - Responsibilities
- Plan games and activities that are developmentally appropriate
- Design a daily and weekly activities schedule
- Provide basic care: Cooking snack, lunch, dinner, diaper changing, potty training, & etc.
- Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones with Brightwheel & Teachers Strategies Gold online.
- Communicate with parents and update them on their childrens activities and required documentation for active enrollment
- Attend in staff meeting bi-weekly to discuss program children and staffing concerns for coaching
- Conduct bimonthly Queens Community House coaching visits
- Conduct CACFP and DOH unannounced program inspection.
- Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider
- Strong understanding of early childhood development
- Patient, kind, and nurturing
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills to lead a group of 14 kids.
- First aid/CPR certified or willing to take within 2 weeks.
- ASS or higher in early childhood or Accredited Family Childcare CDA
