Job title: Medical Assistant
Job location: Brooklyn, NY 11212
Shift: 8:30 am to 5 pm
Pay: $20-$25 /hr
Contract: 3-month possible extension
Required Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an Accredited School for Medical Assistants.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Certificate from an accredited/approved Medical Assistant program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Duties:
- Front desk triage, checking in patients.
- Making appointments.
- Checking Weight, Height, etc.
- Phlebotomy.
- EKG.
- Assist RN with any other duties.
- Working with an RN preparing the patients to be seen by DR.
- Possible exposure to hot and cold.
- Possible exposure to infectious bacteria and blood borne pathogens.
- Position may require prolonged periods of standing, reaching, walking throughout the working day.
- Position will be required to talk effectively, stoop, bend, lift, and carry items weighing or exerting force up to 35 pounds.
