Overview
Direct Counsel is recruiting a junior associate attorney to join the Global Regulatory Enforcement Group. Candidates will assist with litigation, government investigations, and SEC enforcement matters. Federal clerkship or prior government/prosecutorial experience is a plus. Candidates with a CPA license are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities

Support litigation and regulatory enforcement matters, including SEC investigations.

Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, and assist with case management.

Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on client matters.

Participate in strategy sessions and compliance assessments.
Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in litigation, government investigations, or regulatory enforcement.

JD from an accredited law school and active membership in the New York bar.

CPA license preferred; federal clerkship or government/prosecutorial experience helpful.

Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this role is $225,000 – $235,000, depending on experience.
